Senior Paralegal The candidate will provide initial legal guidance by communicating with Legal Department’s clients, identifying legal issues, drafting agreements/contracts, conducting research, analyzing complex regulations and legal precedent and provides advice/recommendations under the limited supervision of attorneys. Collaborate with Legal Department team members by sharing information and seeking guidance on complex legal questions and inquiries to foster information sharing and thorough analysis of options for recommendations. Manage multiple legal projects by planning and prioritizing assigned work, drafting required contracts/correspondence/presentations and delegating tasks, as appropriate, to meet deadlines and achieve desired results. Build ongoing relationships through collaboration with the Legal Department’s clients on the management of legal, regulatory, compliance and other related issues. Administer litigation files. Research and analyze law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes. Provide Notary and corporate secretary seal for documents as needed. Assist in the training of one or more junior paralegals. Other duties as assigned.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a High School Diploma/GED. Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year university is preferred. Paralegal training is preferred. Should have 5+ years of increasing paralegal responsibility in a law firm and/or legal department of a company/corporation with significant contract drafting and negotiation experience related to services, confidentiality, and letter agreements. Should be proficient in MS Office Suite. Should have the ability to think strategically to resolve matters effectively and efficiently and to build collaborative relationships with the Legal Administrator and Legal Department attorneys, ability to read, analyze, and interpret legal contracts/agreements, common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and other legal documents, ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints, ability to prepare legal documents and correspondence that conforms to prescribed style and format, ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, ability to multi-task, set priorities and work with minimal supervision. Should have excellent judgment and organizational skills, ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization in providing the above services.
