Securities Associate Candidate will assist with the development of securities class action cases, work closely with the head of the securities practice and firm investigators to develop confidential witnesses, draft complaints, and conduct detailed factual and legal analysis of potential securities claims. Assist with the development of securities class action cases. Investigate and vet potential cases and newly filed cases. Research law and draft complaint. Develop confidential witnesses. Conduct detailed factual and legal analysis of potential securities claims. Substantial additional drafting responsibilities, including preparation of lead plaintiff motions, and related briefing.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: JD Degree with 5-7 years’ experience (class action and securities litigation experience strongly preferred). Highly accomplished academic and employment credentials. Knowledge of the federal securities laws is important, as is a working familiarity with the financial markets. Exceptional analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Superior writing, drafting and oral advocacy skills. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, planning, verbal and written communication skills. Results oriented, self-starter, with a high level of initiative. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with internal and external contacts at all levels. Ability to work independently, shift focus, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain patience in high pressure situations. Must manage highly confidential information with professionalism and unquestionable integrity Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel).
