ProfileSenior Counsel The candidate provides legal counsel and advice to the construction, procurement, development and asset management groups on legal matters relating to onshore and offshore renewable energy projects. Represents the company in major transactions and negotiations, including turbine supply and other major purchases, as well as acquisitions, divestitures, financing and tax equity transactions, joint ventures and other matters. Reviews and drafts contracts and other legal documents to which Avangrid Renewables and its subsidiaries and affiliate companies are a party. Performs other projects as assigned.Requirements
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have J.D. degree. Must have State Bar admission in Oregon or ability to waive into Oregon Bar. Must have 5+ years of experience counseling renewable energy companies (or comparable experience in the sector) at a major law firm or as in-house counsel. Excellent oral and written communications skills, with emphasis on clear and concise writing is essential. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skill is essential. Strong experience with common business software tools, such as Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel) is essential. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
