Spring Internship The internship program offers college students and recent graduates the opportunity to gain real-world experience in government and politics. Over the course of a semester, interns gain a deeper knowledge of the federal government while strengthening their communication, problem solving, and time management skills. Interns work closely with staff to serve the people of Minnesota. The goal is to provide a meaningful experience that will help each intern achieve long-term career goals through a rigorous curriculum, clearly defined expectations, and constructive feedback. Interns work closely with staff on a wide variety of projects. Answer phones and assist constituents with their requests. Assist constituent services team with casework-related tasks, including sending inquiries to federal government agencies, contacting constituents for more information, and drafting letters to constituents. Assist outreach staff with research, event planning, and meeting preparation, as well as drafting letters and memoranda. Assist scheduling staff with processing and organizing incoming invitations. Assist communications staff with projects as assigned. Should have strong academic credentials and an interest in politics. Students from all academic disciplines are welcome. Duration: January to May Application Deadline: November 1
