Legal Assistant - Intake Team Duties: Requests legal documents from clients that are required to move forward in the legal process. Review documentation received from the clients that are needed to send a Demand Letter. Communicates with Client’s directly. Generates Demand Letters to send to the consumer. Generates Validation Letters that are requested from the consumer. Establishes and maintains office files, logs, indices, legal references, control records and other information in connection with the work under the control of the assigned attorney and direct supervisor. Operates standard office equipment such as calculators, duplicating machines, facsimile machines, scanners, etc. Proofreads and corrects prepared materials for correct grammar, spelling punctuation, format, syntax and content. Performs related work as assigned.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: High School / Equivalency Diploma. Knowledge of correct English usage. Ability to follow complex instructions. Ability to apply instructions and/or guidelines as appropriate in the performance of duties. Ability to compose correspondence and reports. Ability to determine work priorities. Skilled typing ability and knowledge of personal computers, hardware, software and related applications. Preferred: Knowledge of legal terminology. Knowledge of how to use Microsoft Office.
