Attorney The candidate will be responsible for providing legal consultation to key stakeholders across the portfolio. The Attorney gives legal support including contract preparation and negotiation, as well as acting as a legal liaison by providing counsel to members of senior leadership (including company Presidents) on various legal matters. This individual develops and maintains all forms of contracts and legal documentation and is responsible for effective document review, issue-spotting and legal-related problem solving. The Attorney also regularly partners with Human Resources on any legal-related employment issues or concerns. Provides general legal counsel to Jackson Healthcare and its family of companies, Drafts, reviews, revises and negotiates a variety of complex agreements, including but not limited to management services agreements, physician employment and independent contractor agreements, affiliation/GME agreements, staffing agreements, software and licensing agreements, VMS/MSP contracting, and general vendor agreements. Assists company business partners with translating conceptual business plans/objectives into appropriate legal frameworks (e.g., creation of template documents, checklists, procedures and policies). Bachelor’s & Juris Doctorate degrees required. Should have 5-7+ years of general legal experience (contract drafting, reviews, negotiation), Background in healthcare and/or staffing industry(ies) strongly preferred, Obtained license to practice (or ability to become licensed) in jurisdiction,. Membership in good standing w/ Georgia state bar strongly preferred, Knowledge of and experience in medical professional contracting. Basic understanding of vendor management systems (VMS) and managed serviced provider (MSP) contracting. Should have Knowledge of litigation/claims management.
