Paralegal/Legal Assistant Candidate will be expected to cross-train in a variety of office functions and will work in a team environment. Will prepare court documents including petitions, orders, briefs, etc. and understand pleadings and court rules for probate courts.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: 2 years of legal office experience. Excellent communication skills (writing, spelling, proofreading, interoffice and client decorum). Answering phones, taking messages, and responding to inquiries. Follow-ups with client as directed by attorneys. Excellent organization skills (scan, file documents, schedule/confirm appointments, track deadlines, and prioritize workload independently). Bookkeeping â€“ QuickBooks experience a plus. Flexibility (must work well under pressure, assume a level of ownership in work product, and be able to work early and/or late when needed, proactive and results-oriented). Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Timeslips, SCAO/Hot Docs, Adobe Acrobat/PDF, Quicken/QuickBooks.
