Senior Legal Counsel The candidate will have the responsibility for working with and supporting all levels of employees. The Senior Legal Counsel interacts with all levels of employees within the many divisions that make up company. The primary focus is on U.S. employment law, but at least 50% of the job is devoted to a wide variety of general corporate matters including commercial contracts and compliance programs. The main responsibilities of this role include the following: Oversee all U.S. employment law matters, including hiring, terminations, workers comp settlement review, EEOC, ADA, FLSA, et al. Interact with the entire Human Resources team across the U.S., plant operations, and general managers of the business units. Actively supervise outside counsel and employment related litigation. Review and update compliance programs (FCPA, import/export, GDPR, credit documents). Contract review and drafting. Significant interaction with business persons at all levels of our organization. Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have 6+ years of legal experience. Experience in a major law firm plus in-house experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required. Member of Bar, certificate in good standing required.
