ProfileSenior Counsel and Assistant Director of Closing The candidate will be responsible for providing senior leadership for all aspects of closing life settlement and structured settlement acquisition transactions. Will assist the Director of Closing with managing a team of 2 to 4 direct reports, and interact with other internal parties involved with specific transactions. Manage over a dozen ongoing transactions at any given time. Accurately prepare and review closing documents. Review transaction file for issues and deficiencies and facilitate resolution. Communicate with client or its counsel regarding transaction diligence requirements. Develop relationships with key clients, brokers, and escrow agents. Identify, develop and implement process improvement in the transaction process.. Proactively develop and maintain relationships with sales and marketing team.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school. Relevant work experience in closing real estate, lending, title and escrow, as well as, document preparation, contract reviewing and/or transaction due diligence needed. Trusts and estates experience a plus. Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, primarily Word and Excel.
