Legal Assistant Candidate will work an employment civil rights firm that represents employees and individuals. Will help build a platform to further the cause of civil rights in employment. Be responsible for a growing intake and consultation system, which may include phone intakes, digital intake management, scheduling, data entry, digital distribution and collection of representation agreements for new clients, and closing letters. Input client information in Clio. Assist with monthly billing and collections processes in Clio. Assist with discovery creation and responses. Assist with updates to WordPress website. Suggest and implement improvements for all processes. Reception duties.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Must be someone who is comfortable with technology and committed to civil rights. Must have: Outstanding attention to detail. Ability to work independently. Proficiency with Microsoft products, including Windows 10, Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, and OneDrive. Devotion to furthering the cause of civil rights. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience, ideally at a law firm or a similar organization. Experience with the following software: Clio and LawPay, Microsoft Word: preparing or editing pleadings and discovery, using styles and numbering, mail merge, Microsoft Excel, AdobeDC /Adobe Acrobat Pro (e.g., using these to run bates labels on production), Adobe Sign or similar E-signature services, Google Voice or similar, Online scheduling systems, Client communications, WordPress/social media/marketing experience. Client newsletter experience.
