A law firm seeks a skilled and experienced Real Estate Attorney to join its thriving real estate practice group in Buffalo. This opportunity is perfect for an attorney with a strong background in commercial real estate transactions, including construction contracts, leasing, title insurance, and real estate mortgage financing. The firm is seeking a team player with 4 to 7 years of experience to handle a variety of real estate matters, from leasing to large-scale due diligence projects.

Duties

  • Manage and facilitate various commercial real estate transactions, including leasing, purchase and sale agreements, and property review due diligence.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents, including loan agreements, leases, and amendments.
  • Conduct thorough title and survey reviews, identifying potential risks and resolving issues related to real estate properties.
  • Handle title examination and the closing process with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide regulatory and compliance-related support for real estate projects, ensuring all aspects meet legal and industry standards.
  • Advise clients on general legal needs and offer strategic counsel related to real estate portfolios.
  • Perform due diligence on transactions, identifying risks and advising on possible actions.

Requirements

  • 4 to 7 years of experience in commercial real estate law.
  • Solid experience in drafting and negotiating real estate transactional documents, including leases and loan agreements.
  • Expertise in title examination, survey analysis, and the closing process.
  • Ability to manage large-scale real estate portfolios and complex transactions.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements within the real estate industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional academic credentials.
  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Education

Certifications

  • Admission to the State Bar.
