Job Title: Patent Counsel Company: OMNI Department: Intellectual Property Practice Group Location: South San Francisco, California, United States of America Job Summary: OMNI is looking for an experienced patent counsel to join the Intellectual Property Practice Group in South San Francisco, California. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving strategic intellectual property procurement and management of global intellectual property rights for individual small molecule candidates and products. This position reports directly to the Director and Assistant General Counsel and will require an advanced degree in chemistry or another area relevant to pharmaceutical or biotechnology intellectual property practice. The expected salary range for this position is $192,290 to $288,435, and the job is full-time. A Ph.D. is highly desired • A United States law degree (JD) with a current “good standing” admission to at least one U.S. state bar • Admission to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office • Experience in intellectual property transactions and due diligence is a plus • Experience in adverse intellectual property proceedings is a plus • Experience with large molecule global intellectual property portfolios at all stages of prosecution and enforcement is a plus • Experience in gene therapy, cell therapy, and RNA therapeutics is a plus Salary: The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco is $192,290 to $288,435. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
