Duties: Generate loan documents in Encompass. Process loans on commercial properties, including multifamily properties. Obtain rent rolls, historical operating statements, purchase/sale agreements, escrow instructions, borrower organization documents, borrower/guarantor financial statements, REO schedules and tax returns. Deliver a completely processed loan package in a timely manner to underwriting and work with the assigned underwriter to answer any questions on the processed loan. Customize side letter agreements to meet terms of loan. Clear understanding of corporate structure and borrower entity documents. Support the day-to-day loan documentation activities for Civic Financial Services. Be proficient in handling mortgage loan transactions including preparation of initial drafts of loan documents. Work closely with the parent company’s legal department to ensure final loan documents meet the requirements of the loan approval as well as Civic’s policies and procedures. Track, coordinate and handle the ordering, review and approval of third party reports including appraisals, environmental reports, title commitments, searches, flood certificates, and seismic reports, and involve the closing manager, transaction managers, producers and analysts when necessary. Contract review and directed partnership review. Review loan approval, and fully understand the requirements for loan documentation and closing. Maintain organized and accurate closing and due diligence files, and upload to central document management system in a timely and organized fashion. Take such action as necessary or desirable to process the loan from application to closing. Assist the managing director of the multi-family lending division on special projects. Participate in department training activities.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or 2-6 years of related experience with real estate financing transactions and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Paralegal certification preferred. General real estate knowledge. Knowledge of commercial loan documents. Ability to explain all aspects of loan documents to borrowers. Ability to process, document and close multiple loan transactions simultaneously. Thoroughness. Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills. Communication proficiency. Initiative.
