Profile

Senior Litigation Paralegal
Duties: Supports day-to-day administrative matters including drafting correspondence, processing inbound and outbound mail for the Legal department, and filing maintenance for all litigation and arbitration matters. Manages and coordinates the gathering of information, materials, reports, and other documents in connection with audits or investigations, subpoena requests and garnishments, litigation, arbitration, root cause analysis, and special legal projects. Responds to, monitors and tracks responses to subpoenas and garnishments. Manages and updates litigation reports and litigation holds; responds to requests from outside and/or opposing counsel; and handles settlement payments and invoices related to litigation matters. Organizes litigation calendar and schedules to keep track of all events, hearings, and deadlines, and coordinates depositions with outside counsel. Handles general internal inquiries relating to litigation matters and acts as liaison between internal departments and Legal to facilitate efficient workflow and communication. Assists with litigation reporting, including preparing PowerPoint presentations for the Executive team. Partners with Accounting to handle payments for settlement and legal fees related to litigation matters.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Paralegal certification from an accredited Paralegal Studies program. 5+ years Litigation Paralegal experience. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to proofread documents, make grammatical corrections, and produce written communications effectively. Excellent skills in managing electronic and paper files. Outstanding organizational skills and project coordination. Solid knowledge of legal terminology and principles. Strong skill in managing details with speed and accuracy. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to communicate with diplomacy and tact.
