New Business Trust and Investment Sales Executive
The candidate will utilize business and personal centers of influence to source and close prospective clients independently, and with Northern Trust teams of experts. Will partner and collaborate with relationships managers, leadership, and other Wealth Strategists. Successfully integrate into the Northern Trust team based culture, sharing success and acting with care toward clients, external professionals, Northern Trust partners, and the community at large. Represent Northern Trust at all company sponsored events; entertain frequently and appropriately; participate in marketing efforts; reinforce and protect the Northern Trust brand in the community. Assume responsibility for confidentiality of complex and sensitive client and account activities. Research and build prospective client’s financial picture to maximize Northern Trust’s opportunity to deliver advice, products and services. Consult with clients and attorneys to provide wealth solutions covering a variety of wealth issues including estate planning products and services, comprehensive business and personal asset titling and situs: wealth transfer and income tax positioning: charitable strategies and goals driven investing. Record activity and detailed call reports related to opportunities, meetings and pipeline management.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have 7+ years of successful sales experience preferably in wealth management. Must have knowledge of fiduciary products and services (e.g. personal trusts, living trusts, wills, investment management, security custody, financial consulting, estate planning), including fee structures and documentation, acquired through work experience is required to respond to the issues that arise during sales calls. Should have knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations that apply to personal fiduciary, and estate and tax planning services acquired through formal education and work experience is required to consult with clients. Analytical and sales skills are required to relate individual customer asset situations to specific products. Interactive skills are required to comprehend prospect needs and respond with the appropriate solutions. Securities licenses are required. Professional designations such as MBA, CFP, CFTA, CFA, JD, Series7, 63, 66, CIMA are strongly preferred.
