Counsel The candidate will provide support to the Association for intellectual property matters, as well as marketing issues and other contract matters. This will include to licensing of data and content both to and from NFPA; review and negotiation of technology licensing agreements for NFPA; managing the trademarks and copyright permissions process; review of marketing materials; contract review and negotiation of all types. Must hold a J.D. and have 4-6 years of experience working specifically with IP and contract matters. Should have the ability to understand the strategic direction of a company and put this in to effect through work. Must be able to manage requests from multiple types of stakeholders from both inside and outside of NFPA, and are able to respond to these requests in a timely manner. Should have excellent contract drafting skills and strong knowledge of contract law. Must have knowledge of legal and business issues of licensing of technology, data and content is deep. Must be adept in influencing without authority, and can understand the broad spectrum of organizations.
