The role involves handling various aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, development, leasing, title issues, land use, rights of way, construction contracts, and loan documents.

Job Details:

  • Work collaboratively within a team environment to manage and execute commercial real estate transactions.
  • Draft and negotiate contracts and agreements related to real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, leasing, and development.
  • Provide legal advice and support on title issues, land use regulations, and rights of way.
  • Review and negotiate construction contracts and loan documents related to real estate projects.
  • Conduct due diligence and research on real estate matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Duties:

  • Handle all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, from negotiation to closing.
  • Research and analyze legal issues related to real estate projects and transactions.
  • Prepare and review legal documents, including purchase agreements, leases, and financing documents.
  • Advise clients on legal risks and issues related to real estate investments and developments.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and external parties to achieve successful outcomes for real estate projects.
  • Attend and participate in meetings, negotiations, and client consultations as required.

Requirements:

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Utah or eligibility for admission.
  • 3+ years of top-tier law firm experience in commercial real estate transactions.
  • Strong academic credentials from undergraduate and law school.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Utah or eligibility for admission.
