Legal Assistant/Paralegal Duties: Scheduling and coordinating client appointments, meetings and court dates. Understand the basics of a number of court documents, such as petitions and orders. Familiarity with the Florida e-Portal for filing of court documents. Maintaining client files, preparing written correspondence, and answering phones. Reviewing title reports and preparing real estate closing documents. Preparing Probate pleadings and estate planning documents for attorney review. Managing timelines for Probate proceedings and real estate closings. Focus is Real Estate, Probate, Estate Planning, Civil Litigation, Business Law, and Immigration.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: 2-3 years of experience as a legal assistant or title processor. Experience in one or more of these areas is required. Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred. Personal skills necessary: 1) highly organized and detail oriented 2) willing to assist in other areas and work on additional clerical tasks as needed 3) must be able to work independently 4) possess the ability to work with clients, staff, management, and opposing counsel 5) possess an excellent work ethic and be dependable. Must have strong written and oral communication skills. Salary shall be commensurate with experience.
