Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a skilled Securities Associate or Of Counsel to join its Investment Funds Group. The role is ideal for an attorney with over 6 years of experience in managing structured securities offerings. The successful candidate will have a strong background in commercial real estate law, focusing on real estate finance, acquisitions, dispositions, and related transactions. The position offers flexibility, with opportunities to work in several . office locations. The candidate will have the chance to represent top-tier real estate companies, REITs, institutional investors, and financial institutions in a wide variety of complex matters.

Location:

  • Reston, VA

Duties:

  • Manage and advise on structured securities offerings, particularly in commercial real estate law.
  • Represent clients in a wide range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and restructurings.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to commercial real estate projects.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to clients such as REITs, institutional investors, and real estate companies.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and deliver exceptional legal services.
  • Conduct detailed legal research and assist clients in resolving complex issues.
  • Collaborate with both internal teams and external stakeholders in the management of transactions.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience handling structured securities offerings.
  • Strong background in commercial real estate law with experience in finance, acquisitions, and dispositions.
  • Previous experience at a recognized law firm is preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage complex real estate transactions and provide practical legal solutions.
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in collaboration with a team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice in the jurisdiction where the position is located.
