Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for performing substantive legal work that requires significant knowledge of a variety of legal concepts. Will perform various administrative and specifically delegated legal support tasks and legal functions under the direct supervision of the Legal Department's Legal Support Manager and Department Administrator. By maintaining confidential and close responsive relationships with the department associates and associates throughout the firm organization, this incumbent assists in promoting an ethical environment and in providing proactive legal services implementing effective legal risk management. Manage and prioritize confidential projects from multiple sources, achieving high quality results within required time frames. Maintain and monitor logs for legal opinions, marketing approvals and other departmental requests and prepare the necessary documents, as well as complete the following tasks. Assist attorneys in the coordination of all company litigation. Review pleadings, investigate, gather and organize facts. Draft proposed pleadings. Arrange and coordinate depositions. Coordinate litigation activity with outside counsel. Assist with trial preparation, including preparation and organization of exhibits. Maintain litigation files. Work cooperatively with attorneys, staff, clients, and firm associates. Focus on attention to detail in the review of legal documents. Act as point of contact and interface with outside counsel. Track, monitor, record and follow-up on all agent debt collection activities, which also includes sending cases to the collection agency. Process outside counsel fee invoices. Perform other duties as requested by attorneys, Legal Support Manager and Department Administrator.. Schedule travel arrangements and meetings, order office supplies, administer and process marketing reviews, and manage and prioritize other daily routine administrative duties. Assist with the Product Filing Team as needed.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have 3-5 years of experience as a legal assistant. Paralegal certificate or paralegal degree is essential. Excellent oral and written communication skills and proofreading skill is essential. Exercise discretion in handling confidential matters is essential. Proficient in Microsoft Office products is essential. Familiarity with legal documents, contracts and terminology, etc is essential.
