Initiatives Project Manager The candidate will support and assist the Chief of Behavioral Health in the administration of Behavioral Health Services throughout the Community and Criminal Justice System. Receiving and implementing guidance from Assistant General Counsel regarding changing laws and standards as they relate to behavioral health services. Foster and support internal and community-based relationships pertaining to existing and potential criminal justice and continuity of care programs, and to support the agency's grant-making and legal processes. Monitor and provide relevant and accurate summaries on key issues related to behavioral health law. Monitoring changes in State and Federal Legislation. Schedule and Meeting Coordination within the agency and also with community partners. Contract monitoring. Periodic Grant Writing. Grants management, monitoring, and review. Coordinate with internal Grants Management staff and Grants Committee to support and improve grants application and management processes. Research, compile, and organize information related to existing and potential grants. Manage grant reporting and deadlines related to existing and potential grants. Work directly with Chief of Behavioral Health and management to streamline activities within the division based on Agency priorities. Assist the Chief of Behavioral Health in facilitating effective decision-making regarding new projects and changes or updates to current programs. Assist the Chief of Behavioral Health and management in determining proper course of action for new and existing projects and oversee the execution of the plan of action as assigned by Chief. Perform other job duties or responsibilities as requested or assigned.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have an Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies or Criminal Justice. 2 years of previous experience is required. Should have experience with working with the Justice system and/or Experience working in District Attorney’s Office or in Civil or Criminal Courts and/or Experience working with a behavioral health department and/or Experience working with the underserved, co-occurring mental health and substance abuse problems and/or the jail and/or Experience working with safety net providers in the community and knowledge of community resources. Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal Studies or Criminal Justice with 1 year of experience OR Masters Degree in Public Administration OR Juris Doctorate is preferred.
