Duties: Research and writing. Client interaction (meetings and phone calls). Motion drafting and practice. Draft demands to oppose counsel or parties. Client correspondence. Hear preparation and attend court proceedings. Investigation and development of facts in individual cases. Strategize with the Firm's attorneys on individual cases. Attend regularly scheduled training and education sessions offered by the Firm for the summer program.
Qualification and ExperienceQualifications: Trial practice, professional ethics course completion, and certified legal intern status are qualifications that may be helpful. Dedication to the mission of Indiana Legal Services. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability and willingness to learn. Ability to work as a team member and collaborate with others. Ability to comply with the Firm policies and procedures and competently perform all job duties, with reasonable accommodations.
