Classification and Compensation Division Chief (Personnel Administrator III) Duties: The candidate will be responsible for all job analyses/job evaluation studies conducted on SHA positions and has final signatory authority for classification actions on those classifications identified as delegated, and makes final recommendations to MDOT The Secretary's Office on non-delegated classification actions. Will be responsible for the development and administration of the Classification module(s) of MDOT SHA's internal human resources training, and oversees the conduct of other training initiatives as needed.
Qualification and Experience
Qualification: The candidate should have a bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year college or university. Must have 5+ years of professional personnel work in the areas of either analysis, job evaluation, salary administration, employee recruitment and selection, employer-employee relations, personnel program evaluation, or personnel policy formulation. 3+ years of experience must be in the professional human resources area of classification and compensation, to include job evaluation and salary administration. Juris Doctor degree or equivalent degree from an accredited school of law for the required experience is preferred.
