Duties:
- Represent clients in litigation related to employment law matters, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage disputes, and retaliation.
- Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and other necessary legal documents.
- Provide expert legal advice on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Review and advise on employment contracts, handbooks, policies, and severance agreements.
- Conduct depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
- Represent clients before agencies such as the EEOC, DFEH, or NLRB.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and provide legal solutions.
- Stay informed on evolving employment laws and regulatory changes to provide accurate and timely counsel.
Requirements:
- Active California Bar membership.
- 3+ years of litigation experience in Employment Law.
- Proven track record of handling cases from initiation to resolution.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple complex cases effectively and meet deadlines.
- Client-oriented with a focus on achieving favorable outcomes.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- California Bar License (active).
Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including Title VII, ADA, FMLA, and FLSA.
- Advanced legal research and writing skills.
- Strong litigation and negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing complex caseloads.
