Senior CPS Associate The candidate will work with business stakeholders, financial, risk and legal colleagues to identify requirements, manage demand, lead sourcing events (including RFPs), and negotiate pricing and commercial terms for firm's acquisitions. Will lead the complete sourcing life cycle from initial requirements identification to contract sign-off. Direct the strategic sourcing process and act as the central point of contact for sourcing and procurement initiatives. Manage sourcing and procurement activities associated with a variety of categories of spend. Evaluate and recommend sourcing opportunities to leverage spend to lower costs and reduce risk. Document and report savings. Provide external marketplace knowledge of the latest industry trends, benchmarks and best practices. Define and lead RFP initiatives working with business owners and enterprise SMEs. Promote excellence in sourcing processes across firm's. Ability to translate strategic vision in to tactical plans and manage the change required to execute. Utilize consistent methodologies to pursue deliverables that are aligned with strategic objectives and policies. Act as an interface between vendors and firm's for legal, vendor risk, privacy and technology risk as needed to ensure that goods and services are sourced with an acceptable level of risk for firm's. Aptitude for building and maintaining strong partnerships across organizational lines to achieve objectives. Ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies that deliver measurable bottom line savings while enhancing quality and mitigating risk(s). Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately. Demonstrates reliability by taking necessary actions to continuously meet required deadlines and goals. Applies global perspective when working within a team by being aware of own style and ensuring all relevant parties are involved in key team tasks and decisions. Articulates information clearly and presents information effectively and confidently when working with others. Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have 5+ years of prior experience in sourcing in positions of increasing responsibility. Bachelor's degree preferred with Masters, JD or equivalent experience a plus. Prior experience in the financial services industry is strongly preferred. Must have understanding of commercial terms within a broad spectrum of contract types. Must be proficient in use of Global eProcure (GEP) or a similar Sourcing and Procurement platform and familiarity with the various modules; Spend Analytics, Sourcing, Contract Management, Supplier Management, Purchasing.
