ProfileDomestic violence Attorneys The candidate will provide zealous legal representation, advice, counsel, and litigation for victims of domestic violence. Should possess the empathy and judgment to directly work with clients who find themselves in difficult and stressful circumstances; to possess the aptitude to skillfully provide legal representation in court, and to possess the desire to work collaboratively with colleagues and outside groups and shelters. In addition to individual client advocacy, staff attorneys provide outreach and education in the community to which they are assigned. North Carolina State Bar License is required. 2 years’ legal experience is preferred. Candidates should have a demonstrated commitment to public interest law and a desire to work in a collaborative and team-oriented environment. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
