Lead Contract Advisor Duties: Review revise, and negotiate contractual documents to ensure compliance with corporate policies. Act as a liaison between external clients and various internal groups in negotiating contracts. Interact with the business to review received requests for proposal/quotes from clients and ensure all requested information is accurate and supplied. Assist the business with compiling all commercial information into a clear, concise, and quality proposal that aligns with corporate policies, procedures, and standards. Drafting, review, and negotiation of a variety of contract, including but not limited to customer agreements, non-disclosure agreements, subcontractor and vendor contracts. Shepherd contracts through the review, negotiation, approval and execution process. Client meetings and negotiations. Act as the client interface during negotiations and contract management. Interact with wide range of internal clients and colleagues to provide guidance on negotiations, contract terms and company process for risk mitigation Coordinate resolution of proposal and/or contractual issues requiring the input of various internal groups encountered in contract bidding, negotiations and execution. In conjunction with other business support staff, respond to unusual or potential business and contractual performance problems and make recommendations for corrective action Contract management, including handling of day-to-day contract-related issues. Communicate relevant information to all team members, such as changes in the project’s requirements, unexpected requests, etc. Review contracting data entered into company system(s) for completeness and accuracy. Implement established corporate policies and practices for risk mitigation.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher; concentration preferably in Contracts Management, Business Administration, Business, Finance or other related field or Paralegal Degree / Certification. 5+ years of applicable experience reviewing and negotiating non-standard contracts; will consider less experience with law degree from accredited law school. Willingness to participate in Federal, State and Local Government bidding and contract activity. Contract activity may be non-routine and require negotiation of specialized contract vehicles to accomplish business goals and objectives. Proficiency with Microsoft Suite. Excellent communication skills verbal and written. Ability to work with multiple parties, including business group, attorneys, managers, vendors and clients. Excellent knowledge of contracting concepts, applicable public contract acquisition law and regulations, and applicable contract law. Ability to understand, identify and explain corporate policies and procedures to others. Knowledge of IDIQ, CPAF, CPFF, FFP, T&M and LOE types of contracts, and/or experience in strategic partnering or other complex contractual arrangements. Ability to draft moderate to complex, non-routine contractual instruments. Demonstrated problem solving skills. Ability to handle time sensitive issues and meet deadlines. Ability to manage and prioritize workload. Strong written and verbal English communication skills. Requires significant computer work and typing. Preferred: Experience interacting and negotiating directly with external clients preferred. Experience drafting and reviewing a wide variety of legal documents and agreements preferred. Independent judgment and analysis of significant issue identification and resolution. Acts as a resource for contract guidance strongly desired. Demonstrated knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation preferred. Analyze contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations and Government Contracting policies. Draft, develop, negotiate and administer contractual agreements for assigned programs. Significantly contribute and may lead the development of Government contracting strategy for Department. Perform annual personnel reviews. Assist in the mentorship, training and development of junior contracting staff. Coordinate workloads.
