Counsel The candidate will be responsible to assist in the drafting and review of employment agreements for NFP new hires & internal promotions including offer letters, employment agreements, restrictive covenants, non-solicitation & non-compete agreements, etc. Provide expertise on labor and employment related matters, including, but not limited to, human resources issues, wage and hour law, workers’ compensation, immigration, unemployment and other state agency claims, labor relations, employee benefits, and FMLA matters. Develop best legal practices for employment on boarding/separation procedures. Review and execute other contracts in support of the business.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have Doctorate or have Juris Doctor degree. Should have Licensed to practice law in at least one state, Texas, New York or California, preferred. Must have 4-6 years of substantive labor and employment experience with a corporate legal department or recognized law firm. Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Good organizational and planning skills, with a proven ability to manage time well in a fast-paced, ever-changing, team-oriented environment. Proven administrative skills and expertise. High level of integrity and strict adherence to protecting confidential information. Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficient in writing and editing.
