Patent Agent, Biological Sciences The candidate drafts and prosecutes patent applications and conducts patent validity, non-infringement, and freedom-to-operate analyses. In addition to patent prosecution, responsibilities include IP due diligence, patent litigations, post-grant proceedings (IPR, PGR, interferences), and other IP matters in the life sciences related to cutting-edge technologies, such as gene editing, cellular therapies, antibody-based therapeutics, and molecular diagnostics. Must have 2+ years of substantive patent experience; 3-5 years of experience preferred. Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred, or M.S. with several years industry experience) in the biological sciences (e.g., Biology, Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Immunology, Virology). Must be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Should have excellent written and oral communication skills, superior academic background, and a desire for teamwork, significant responsibility, and client interaction.
