Litigation Paralegal The candidate collects, analyzes, organizes and maintains factual information and documents, both electronically and hard copies, in accordance with correct legal practice and procedure. This requires an in-depth knowledge of Florida and U.S. District Court laws, court procedures, and electronic discovery. Will be responsible for billable work from pre-suit to settlement. Must have 5-7 years of relevant law firm experience. Must possess 5 years’ experience working as a litigation paralegal in a large law firm (from case development to initial pleadings through discovery, trial and post-trial practice), shall possess formal and extensive training as a paralegal, shall have extensive trial, mediation and arbitration experience, shall possess thorough knowledge of state and federal court systems and procedures and laws relating to evidence and trial practice, shall be certified (“CLA”) as designated by the National Association of Legal Assistants; must possess excellent communication, organizational, research and technical skills. Construction litigation experience a plus. Member of appropriate professional organizations (Paralegal Association of Florida, Inc., National Association of Legal Assistants and Legal Assistant Management Association). Florida Registered Paralegal is required.
