Manager III, Loan Operations The candidate will be responsible for management of operations. Requires an excellent understanding of consumer, commercial and commercial loan documentation, regulations and collateral interest. Ensure training and processes are defined. Mitigates risk through adherence to regulatory, investor, policies/procedures and vendor management review. Oversees operations and functions to meet SLAs; Reviews/approves multi-million dollar credit transactions. Has strong inter-personal skills and the ability to work with employees, business partners and co-workers; must be able to relay information, handle escalated items and resolve issues.Identifies, develops, recommends, and implements standards, policies, procedures, and programs; provides guidelines and performance feedback; minimizes losses; ensures service level standards are met. Works with Managers and Business Analysts to ensure system integrity and efficiency. Develops objectives/operating plan; plans/administers budgets; identifies savings and efficiencies; approves expense reports, budget variances, operational statistics and quality reports. Ensures efficiency by predicting, controlling, implementing and approving changes. Ensures changes in procedures/system updates have minimal impact on General Ledger entries, ICAP reconciliation or data reporting. Keeps informed of current rules, regulations and technological developments; reviews, researches and analyzes effects of governmental regulations. Ensures department processes are compliant with state/federal regulation. Participates in Compliance testing and Audit/Regulatory reviews. Responsible for responses to compliance/ audit reviews and for implementation remediation. Manages activity via supervisors; determines work priorities; recommends additions to staff; exercises usual authority of a manager concerning performance appraisal, salary recommendations, discipline, counseling, incentives and terminations. Responsibility for department operations; researches and resolves problems. Participates as a unit representative in M&A and conversions; serves on committees; participates in study and review of proposals and design of products.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have acquired through completion of Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Financial Accounting and/or a Law Degree with 7+ years loans operations experience with at least 4 -5 years experience in a management capacity or equivalent experience or 12+ years in operations which includes at least 4-5 years in a management capacity. Preference: Master’s Degree or Law Degree Extensive knowledge of consumer and complex commercial credit legal documentation with interpretive skills and regulatory/compliance background in loan operations. Should have extensive knowledge of HMDA, TILA, RESPA, FCRA, SCRA, UDAAP and associated regulations. Must have broad knowledge of production management, loan operations and delivery systems. Should have extensive knowledge and interpretative skills of legal documentation, lending laws, regulations and investor requirements. Must have excellent understanding of vendor risk and associated vendor management controls. Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger is needed. Must have excellent PC and software skills. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills are needed.
