A law firm in Boston, MA, is seeking a Real Estate Associate Attorney to join their national real estate practice. The successful candidate will provide high-quality legal services in a range of complex transactions, support acquisition, disposition, leasing, and financing activities, and contribute to the firm's commitment to professional development.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide efficient legal services both independently and as part of a team, quickly integrating into the firm's national real estate practice.
  • Represent sophisticated clients, including owners and operators of commercial real estate, in various capacities such as borrower, buyer, seller, and landlord.
  • Manage the full life-cycle of real estate transactions, including reviewing and commenting on loan documents, leases, and purchase agreements.
  • Support acquisition, disposition, leasing, and financing transactions, ensuring the highest quality of client service.
  • Draft, negotiate, and review complex real estate documents and agreements.
  • Collaborate with clients, investors, and colleagues to resolve issues and facilitate smooth transactions.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and developments to provide informed legal advice.

Requirements:

  • JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to or eligibility for admission to the Massachusetts Bar.
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate law, including acquisition, disposition, leasing, and financing transactions.
  • Experience representing clients as borrower, buyer, seller, and landlord in commercial real estate matters.
  • Familiarity with the full life-cycle of real estate transactions and ability to review and comment on loan documents, leases, and purchase agreements.

Education:

  • JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to or eligibility for admission to the Massachusetts Bar.

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism when working and engaging with clients and investors.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within team settings and work independently.
  • Experience in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating complex real estate documents.
