ProfileIP Services Intern The candidate will support in maintaining company trademarks by researching current use of brands. Collect required documents and signatures. Participate in naming discussions for new product launches. Conduct preliminary screening trademark searches for potential names. Support in assessing trademark portfolios of newly acquired companies, and integration activities. Data entry through the IP management database. Review and approve draft press releases and company documents for proper trademark use and attribution prior to publication. Various administrative activities as needed. Search internet ecommerce sites for infringement of company trademarks, copyrights and domain names: compile case data, and propose action plans. Assess domain and website content violations and instruct outside counsels in UDRP (domain recovery) actions to accomplish the return of brand-infringing domain names.
Qualification and Experience
A Bachelorâ€™s degree required. Paralegal certification or law student preferred. should have strong verbal and business writing skills. Must have ability to read and interpret legal documents and agreements Must be proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Should be familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, Lotus Notes etc.
