Deposit and Operations Services IRS / Regulatory Specialist The candidate will provide comprehensive support and administration of legal processes and supporting documents and various regulatory functions. Will interact with branches, external clients and a variety of external legal and regulatory agencies to ensure daily processing of various transactions. Work to mitigate risk exposure and protect client confidentiality. Perform all tasks on a timely basis in order to meet processing schedules and legal and regulatory timeframes for legal processes (e.g. levies, liens, garnishments, and subpoenas; Federal Regulation CC, D, DD and O; Internal Revenue Service Regulations, related to tax reporting; abandoned property laws; and lawyer trust accounts). Effectively communicate with outside and internal legal counsel, court representatives, and local, state and federal government agency representatives. Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of assigned functions and related process flows. Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of all systems and applications used in daily processing. Provide quality client service by assisting in problem/research resolution. Maintain documentary files as required by law or regulation. Maintain an adequate working knowledge of all Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations, State and Federal laws, and compliance issues governing applications of responsibility. Assist with documenting current internal policies and procedures for department and branches. Seek continuous process improvements and ensure adherence to the processes in place to prevent monetary losses. High School diploma or equivalent education and related training is needed. Paralegal experience is essential. Bachelor’s degree or technical training with experience is essential. Should have 2+ years of experience in financial services industry. Strong analytical skills are essential. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products is needed.
