Legal Assistant - Insurance Defense The candidate will order and organize medical and employment records. Will prepare documents for production. Communicate with the insurance adjusters, clients and other counsel. Coordinate investigation of claims, initial drafts of discovery, analyze and responds to incoming discovery and summarize case specific documents. Handle small matters with little to no oversight and/or direction and handle medium size matters with some oversight and direction. Prepare for trial, including witness and exhibit lists. E-file in both state and federal courts. Send documents to retained experts. Must have 2-3 years of prior law firm experience, preferably insurance defense. Strong knowledge in the MS Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat is required.
