Key Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel on employment-related issues, including compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
  • Represent clients in employment litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
  • Draft and review employment agreements, non-compete clauses, and severance packages.
  • Conduct workplace investigations related to discrimination, harassment, and policy violations.
  • Advise clients on employee relations, termination procedures, and workplace best practices.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop and implement proactive strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Stay updated on changes in labor and employment laws to ensure client compliance.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience practicing employment law in a law firm or corporate setting.
  • Proven track record handling employment litigation and providing strategic advice on complex legal issues.
  • Strong understanding of relevant federal, state, and local employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and Title VII.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.
  • Demonstrated capability to build and maintain client relationships.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York State Bar is required.

  • Exceptional legal research and analytical abilities.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
