Probate Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for working directly on matters involving the initiation and follow through of probate proceedings, administration of trust, Community Property Agreement Affidavits, and small Estate Affidavits. Assisting the attorney during initial client conference and follow up meetings. Securing documents related to decedent’s estate. Collecting and valuating estate assets. Preparing probate pleadings for attorney review. Preparing and recording real estate transfer documents. Maintain tickler system for probate filing deadlines. Professional and compassionate communication with clients.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have college degree or paralegal certificate with an interest in the Estate Planning/Probate area. Background in business, accounting, finance, tax or similar areas is beneficial. Must have 2+ years of paralegal experience in Estate Planning and Probate. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle conflicting priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. Ability to prioritize tasks and anticipate client and attorney needs. Demonstrated ability drafting estate plans and trusts. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills required.
