ProfileContracts Management/Corporate Paralegal Duties: Assists attorneys on various moderate to highly complex legal activities. Due to the various functions of the Legal Department attorneys, activities may be more specialized depending on the area of law in which the supervising attorney(s) works. Negotiate and draft contracts with customers and suppliers. Advise supervising attorney and management of contract risks. Assist in preparing proposals to governmental and private sector clients. Understands and knowledgeable of company contract templates, and applicable regulatory and business reasons for such contract language. Monitors, identifies, escalates, and takes action on identified deficiencies in contract performance. Build a deep knowledge of WM’s business. Assist company in developing contracting forms and contracting best practices. Collaborates and works well with various departments, including sales, operations, and financial. Manage multiple tasks, be detail oriented, be responsive, and demonstrate independent thought and critical thinking. Assists in implementation of Legal Department related processes and technologies, including some administrative duties. Works with appropriate departments/functions within the Company to ensure implementation of policies or actions.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years' previous experience in contract negotiation and drafting. Highly Preferred: Contract Management, Contract Administration, Corporate experience as a contracts manager/administrator. Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office and other software utilized to perform tasks. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to interface with clients and other business functions with professionalism.
