Trademark Docketing Specialist - IP Information Management (IPIM)
Duties: Possess an understanding of domestic and international trademark law that will allow the independent completion of Docket Specialist duties within a team setting. Review, analyze, and process trademark office correspondence and documents from the USPTO and overseas counsel with adherence to strict deadlines. Organize, coordinate, and timely enter and close events in an electronic trademark database (Memotech). Review, update, and research trademark details using external sites and databases. Generate routine reports. Effectively manage full workload utilizing specific docketing tools including First-to-File, FileSite, Attorney WorkBench, and Memotech. Carry out large trademark projects with accuracy and efficiency. Exhibit dedication to the IP Law Department through active and unsolicited participation in departmental initiatives, committees, and projects.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Minimum of a high school diploma is required. A College degree, paralegal certification, or equivalent-type education or experience is strongly preferred. 5+ years of proven experience in domestic and non-US Trademark docketing is required. Experience using an electronic IP database is required, preferably Memotech. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and proactively with Paralegals, Attorneys, and IPIM to complete docketing tasks in a timely manner is required. Strong teamwork and organizational skills are required. Detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills, are required. Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel is required. Comfortable with the use of information technology and document management tools are required.
