Investigations Counsel
The candidate provide support in developing company’s Investigations and Anti-Corruption programs. The Counsel, Investigations and Anti-Corruption will play a key role in conducting complex investigations and ensure that compliance concerns raised by employees, suppliers and other third-parties are promptly and thoroughly investigated and appropriately addressed. In addition, the candidate will assist to develop a proactive Anti-Corruption program, which will include assisting with risk assessments and internal and third-party audits, developing internal legal compliance tools and performing ongoing Anti-Corruption risk monitoring. Reports to: Managing Senior Counsel, Corporate Functions, or Senior Counsel, Litigation, or Senior Director of Investigations and Anti-Corruption Programs. Main Responsibilities: Investigations Program – Develop and establish investigation policies and procedures. Create and conduct investigations training for investigators across the enterprise. Manage all aspects of the corporate investigation process. Manage the company’s ethics “hotline,” and web portal, including triaging cases and working with Employee Relations to ensure cases are appropriately documented in a timely manner. Work with various stakeholder to implement corrective action and process changes. Participate in compliance monitoring activities. Prepare investigative reports for management. Assist in conducting quarterly data analytics and trending on investigations. Assist in developing an Enterprise Fraud Detection and Prevention program to proactively identify potential fraud. Anti-Corruption Program – Assist in developing and establishing an Anti-Corruption policies and procedures. Create and conduct Anti-Corruption training for employees across the enterprise. Establishing and managing the Anti-Corruption ongoing monitoring and oversight program. Assist in developing and maintaining internal compliance tools to proactively identify high risk transactions. Manage third-party due diligence program. Assist in conducting ongoing risk assessments and remediation throughout the enterprise. Develop metrics and tools to help analyze Anti-Corruption data to determine trends and areas of compliance risks. Recommends, develops and/or implements policies, procedures and processes. Monitors compliance with internal business and legal processes and policies. Prepares presentations for and presents to senior leaders, as applicable. Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of business units, products, strategy, and operational model. Applies common sense and correctly determines what is appropriate to a given situation. Demonstrates the ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality. Pays meticulous attention to detail as demonstrated by regularly verifying all work thoroughly to ensure accuracy. Demonstrates excellence in conducting in-depth research and analysis regarding a broad range of issues. Demonstrates ability to conduct complex initiatives in a self-directed manner, with minimal oversight, and to deliver superior results in a timely manner. Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with broad spectrum of business segment personnel and senior management. Prioritizes multiple, ongoing initiatives and efficiently re-prioritizes such responsibilities, as may be required in a changing business environment. Works effectively with internal and external clients and promotes the reputation and integrity of the Legal and Compliance organization. Employment law experience a plus. Should have Juris Doctor Degree from an ABA accredited law school with excellent academic credentials; admission to practice in good standing as a member of a jurisdiction is required. Minimum 7-10 years Corporate Investigations and Anti-Corruption experience. Certification in Corporate Compliance or Certificated Fraud Examiner preferred.
