Compliance Officer Regulatory
Duties: Responsible for monitoring federal and state regulatory agencies for changes in laws and regulations applicable to mortgage lending and other business activities, conducting compliance risk assessments, and advising management in assigned business units on inherent and residual compliance risks. Monitors for and inputs new state and federal laws and regulatory changes into FAH’s GRC platform. Coordinates with business leaders during and after audits to effect necessary improvements to processes, systems and controls. Assists Legal in reviewing all regulatory and guideline changes as needed, including creating redlined versions of the regulatory/guideline change, breaking down the regulatory/guideline change into business-specific requirements, inputting requirements in FAH’s GRC platform etc. Stays informed about different state legislative processes and conducts research for Legal as needed. Assists with executive and control reports, validations, and data monitoring in Archer to ensure data integrity for both processes. Communicates regulatory changes to the Risk and Compliance team to ensure risk are identified and mitigated. Partner with key stakeholders and Issues Management Manager to develop remediation plan to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance. Maintains ownership of all aspects of the change of law process including, policies, procedures, reporting, training, and vendor relationship. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: BA - Bachelor of Arts in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Management and related fields. 2 years of relevant experience. Paralegal preferred. Detail oriented . Highly organized. Multi-tasking and prioritization skills necessary. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under time constraints. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to adapt to change quickly. Strong interpersonal skills, must be a team player. Proficient in MS Officer Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. Must be able to work autonomously and be a natural self-motivator.
