A law firm seeks an experienced Labor and Employment Law Attorney to take on the Attorney Coach and Trainer role. This position offers the opportunity to design and implement training programs to enhance attorneys' professional development across various levels. The successful candidate will use online platforms, in-person sessions, and regional conferences to provide both group and one-on-one training. Based in Tampa, FL, this role requires a strong labor and employment law background, with licenses in CA, TX, or FL considered a plus.

Duties:

  • Develop and deliver dynamic training programs for attorneys, using diverse delivery methods such as virtual platforms (., Teams), in-person sessions at local offices, and regional events.
  • Facilitate one-on-one coaching sessions and guide during office hours to support attorney development.
  • Collaborate with the Learning and Professional Development Team, as well as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), to assess training needs and create tailored content.
  • Identify gaps in knowledge or skills across the attorney team and proactively design solutions.
  • Participate in firmwide initiatives, including the rollout of legal software, while staying current with emerging tools and technologies.
  • Travel occasionally for in-person sessions and conferences as required.
  • Assist in creating templates, standards, and resources to standardize attorney development firmwide.
  • Other related duties as needed to support attorney growth and firm objectives.

Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of experience practicing Labor and Employment Law.
  • Strong experience in training, mentoring, or coaching attorneys in a legal environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to connect with individuals at all levels.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams and work with diverse groups to achieve common goals.
  • Familiarity with online platforms like Microsoft Teams and various e-learning tools; experience with AI technology is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in at least one of the following states: CA, TX, or FL (license in other jurisdictions is a plus).

Skills:

  • Expertise in labor and employment law, including experience with Class Action and PAGA cases.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • In-depth knowledge of e-learning platforms, instructional design software, and AI-based tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Creative, service-oriented mindset with a focus on attorney development.
