Prepares journal entries, PSI reports, and forms for sentencing-related matters. Responds to letters from inmates, inmate family members, members of the general public, or others regarding sentencing-related matters. Provides training as requested by the executive director, courts, court services, prosecutor offices or other stakeholder groups. Reviews and drafts contracts for services and Memorandum of Agreements with other governmental bodies. Advises and assists the executive director on administrative matters. Attends hearings and meetings, serves on task forces, committees, and work groups as needed. Recommends and drafts amendments and testimony for legislative hearings. Prepares summary of proposed legislative changes and tracks legislation. Reviews and tracks adult felony criminal court decisions for publishing Sentencing Commission's Case Law Updates quarterly on the agency website. Must have admission to the Bar of the Supreme Court of Kansas.
