Legal Assistant Responsibilities : The candidate will do word processing skills at least 65 wpm, typing legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, etc. Filing documents with courts and other agencies. Managing multiple calendars, scheduling meetings, making travel arrangements, booking court reporters, scheduling conference rooms etc.Maintaining office files, both physically and electronically. Will be answering phones and ability to learn other computer programs as necessary. Provide backup support to other assistants when needed. Other responsibilities necessary for keeping the office running efficiently.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: The candidate should have experience in the legal field like litigation and/or family law. Must have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Should be energetic, highly organized, high achieving individual with demonstrated success as a legal assistant. Should have excellent communication skills and typing skills, be computer literate, able to multi-task, be prompt, hardworking and a team player. Act as a point of contact for clients, provide administrative support to three or more attorneys and deal with a wide range of document preparation, file management, calendaring and other tasks.
