SUMMARY:
Alston & Bird, an international law firm, is seeking a licensed attorney to join their team as a Discovery Staff Attorney/Discovery & Analytics Consultant. This full-time, salaried position offers a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth.
As a Staff Attorney, you will assist in the management and supervision of eDiscovery matters, privilege reviews, transactional due diligence projects, and other legal research projects. You will also be responsible for team building, knowledge sharing, and cross-training with other project attorneys and technology professionals.
To be successful in this role, candidates must have technical expertise with eDiscovery review platforms, AI tools, advanced analytics, and technology-assisted review (TAR). Additionally, excellent leadership and management skills are required, along with in-depth knowledge of privilege reviews and privilege logs. The billable hours expectation for this position is 1,800.
Key responsibilities of a Staff Attorney include assuming primary attorney responsibility for Alston Discovery projects, creating and revising project estimates, and developing and maintaining relationships with associates and partners. You will also be involved in business development and marketing efforts, and have meaningful involvement in client conferences and meet and confers.
Other essential duties may include creating, revising, and implementing best practices guidelines for the analysis and production of electronic data, leading Relativity trainings, and performing quality control on document reviews. You will also be responsible for maintaining knowledge of and adherence to the Firm’s policies and procedures.
To be considered for this position, candidates must have a Juris Doctorate degree and be licensed to practice law in the state in which they live and work.
