Real Estate Paralegal The candidate should have 3-5 years of experience. Must have experience with all aspects real estate, including: Handle residential and commercial real estate acquisitions, sales, and refinances. Act as liaison, build and maintain productive relationship with all parties involved in the transaction, including buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, mortgage brokers and attorneys to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty. Review contracts and other documentation and align with critical dates. Determine escrow requirements by reviewing and clarifying buyer, seller and lender instructions upon receipt of order. Review title search reports and prepare title commitments. Obtain clear title by ordering title reports, resolving title defects, satisfying existing liens and encumbrances and provide a pro-active approach in notifying customers of potential roadblocks or issues. Review lender and real estate closing instructions for closing conditions, endorsements, and disbursement of funds and proceeds. Prepare error free settlement statements, closing disclosures and closing documents. Conduct closings with sellers and buyers. Record documents with appropriate state/county agency. Conduct bank reconciliation between files and escrow account on daily and monthly basis. Maintain customer data and files in accordance with ALTA Best Practices. Resolve any post-closing reconciliation issues. Maintain current knowledge of title industry issues and practices via communications from underwriters and attendance at industry seminars.
