Senior Associate Attorney - Regulatory Compliance Duties: Primary area of responsibility will be complex health care operations and regulatory compliance, with a focus on analyzing legal and regulatory risk associated with clinical activities and business strategies. Will be responsible to provide advice related to legal issues arising in numerous health care settings, including hospitals (adult and children’s), post-acute care, primary and specialty physician offices, urgent care centers and clinics. Independently perform complex substantive legal work to include conducting complex legal research, and identifying and analyzing the legal implications of proposed and existing policies and practices, complex transactions, business development and other risk areas. Advising senior management, as well as various levels of client representatives, in a manner consistent with applicable laws and that resolves complex legal issues and achieves administrative and operational objectives. Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to create and maintain effective working relationships. Drafting accurate and comprehensive complex legal documents. Organizing resources and establishing priorities to ensure timely responses to requests for attorney services.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must be practicing for 8+ years and be licensed to practice law in the state of Florida or anticipate being a member within 1 year of hire. 7+ years of formal education; JD Degree. 8+ years as an attorney practicing in-house with a health system or equivalent. State of Florida Licensure Requirements: Admission as a member in good standing of the Florida bar within one (1) year of hire. Highly developed oral and written communication skills. Strong ability to organize resources and establish priorities. Ability to conduct complex legal research and provide legal guidance and recommendations regarding complex issues. Ability to effectively manage support staff. Strong interpersonal skills. Working knowledge of public agency and not-for-profit entities is preferred.
