Associate General Counsel, Connectivity Duties: Support its connectivity and other various teams' commercial transactions. Drafting and negotiating a wide variety of contracts for strategic relationships, including development and distribution agreements, IP transactions, technology licenses, beta and user trial agreements and connectivity services integrations. Will also advise clients on the various legal risks, business strategies, and other issues related to commercial transactions and general operations. Diligent and proactive, have demonstrated excellent legal and business judgment, technical acumen and strategic thinking, along with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally. Contract drafting, negotiation and advisory responsibilities. Provide strategic business and legal advice to develop a comprehensive, long-term approach to relationships with key partners. Commercial transactions support for other departments as required. Administration and resolution of legal issues that arise in existing commercial relationships. Potentially manage lawyers also focused in this area. Be flexible and willing to travel and work extended hours when necessary, to complete projects in a timely fashion.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: JD degree and membership in at least one state Bar. 8+ years of experience, including prior in-house experience with internet or technology companies and/or at a law firm. Experience with technology transactions with mobile operators, OEMs, silicon vendors, infrastructure and other hosted services providers, and/or social networking platforms. Preferred: Experience managing one or more attorneys.
