Attorney The candidate will be responsible for: Providing legal advice to various departments on a broad range of general business matters as they arise related to design and construction law, corporate, regulatory and business law. Identifying and analyzing legal issues, drafting key documents, presenting clear recommendations, and assuring legal compliance. Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with internal clients and legal team. Managing outside counsel when retained for litigation or specialty matters. Developing and conducting internal training programs. Participating in risk management functions. Other duties as assigned by the General Counsel and Assistant General Counsel. Should have JD degree and current member of Missouri bar or ability to obtain Missouri bar license. Technical (engineering, architecture, construction science) undergraduate degree and/or AEC industry non-legal work experience, or prior in-house experience in the construction industry is preferable. Should have 3-5 years of combined legal experience practicing law at a firm, corporate legal department or equivalent government agency practice which would have involved hands-on contract negotiations and dispute resolution. Previous experience in construction and engineering design professional law, including design-build, EPC, equipment procurement and joint ventures is preferred.
