Litigation Paralegal The candidate will provide expertise, support, and assistance to attorneys in litigation practices including medical malpractice defense and employment. Perform general case management including preparing and organizing documents; conducting and summarizing research. Will be supporting depositions, trials, and other activities. Interacting with clients, opposing counsel, and external agencies; and contributing to a positive and successful team effort.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a Paralegal Certificate or Bachelor’s Degree. Three(3) years’ experience in litigation. Experience in a medical practice area preferred (e.g., med mal, healthcare, long-term care). Excellent communication, organizational, and prioritization skills. Attentive to detail and highly accurate. Able to effectively and efficiently manage multiple projects and competing deadlines. Desire to work as part of a high-functioning team and contribute at a high level. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and remain flexible to meet client and attorney needs. Able to take initiative and anticipate what needs to be done. Can understand and follow specific, detailed instructions. Strong commitment to quality client service. Strong PC skills, especially MS Word and Excel. Familiarity with litigation support technologies and concepts a plus. Personal computer and other office equipment such as telephone, typewriter, calculator, fax machine, duplicating machine, etc.
